The Gabriel Project of the Crossroads' Testimonial from the Bethlehem Maternity Home.
On the day Markia arrived at Bethlehem Maternity Home, the skies were dark, and rain poured down - the heaviest she’d ever seen. But as she drove through the storm, the sky suddenly cleared to bright blue with a huge rainbow. She saw it as a sign of hope.
This weather reflected her own journey - physically, mentally, and spiritually at BMH. “Coming to BMH was the hardest decision of my life,” Markia says. “I asked God for what I wanted, and He gave me what I needed.” She explains, “BMH changed my life. I’ve learned time management, meal planning, and scheduling - things I hated at first, I am now grateful for.
My outlook on life has transformed, thanks to the incredible support from the staff, especially Mrs. Linda, who helped me through countless meltdowns. I’m so blessed to have her in my life. The staff at BMH truly cares—they’ll do whatever they can to help, and if they don’t have what you need, they’ll find it. They are amazing. I love them!”
We Are Thankful and Honored by the Incredible Support for Our Rummage Sale. Community members brought items and others purchased. The event was a huge success! We exceeded our goal and was able to create two new playrooms at the Bethlehem Maternity Home. Prayers Answered! Praise God!
We would like to extend a heartfelt 'Thank You' to Linda Palmer for the tremendous impact she has made as Executive Director of The Gabriel Project for the last 2 years. Linda has worked diligently to improve the organization and lead with passion. While she has stepped down from her role as Executive Director, we are grateful that she will continue to stay deeply involved in a focused capacity through the Mother/Baby Outreach program as director.
In her new role, Linda will continue to organize our Angels, who go out into the community to provide essential supplies and education to women in need. Beyond her leadership, Linda remains personally involved, carrying a significant load as an Angel herself. Her dedication and the countless hours she devotes each week are a testament to her servant's heart and commitment to our mission. We are truly blessed to have her continue this vital work!
"Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience." Colossians 3:12 (NIV)
We are so grateful for Donna Harryman and the wonderful work she does as a volunteer for The Gabriel Project. Donna has taken on the responsibility of organizing our storage spaces, and her expertise in creating order out of chaos has been a tremendous help. She truly is a master at what she does. Donna consistently helps weekly by packing mom bags, ensuring that essential items are ready for those in need. We appreciate her dedication and hard work and want to take this moment to honor Donna and express our heartfelt thanks for her incredible contributions to our mission!
"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms." 1 Peter 4:10 (NIV)
